1. General Provisions
TorqueXpert SD is designed for vehicle diagnostics, obtaining and analysing data through an OBD interface, measuring power and torque, generating diagnostic reports and processing telemetry data.
We strive to collect and process only the data necessary for the operation, improvement, security and development of the Application and its services.
The Application may process technical, diagnostic, measurement, usage and analytics data. Basic functionality may be available without registration. User accounts are currently available for account-based features, including features that require server-side storage, account-related history or Tokens.
2. Data Processed by the Application
Depending on the features used by the user, TorqueXpert SD may process the following categories of data.
2.1 Vehicle Data
The Application may obtain the following data through connected OBD equipment:
- Vehicle VIN;
- ECU identifier and information;
- CALID, CVN and other software identifiers;
- ECU software and hardware version information;
- Diagnostic trouble codes (DTC);
- Engine and vehicle parameters obtained through OBD/PID;
- Engine RPM, vehicle speed, engine load, temperatures and other parameters available through the connected equipment.
These data are used for diagnostics, vehicle condition analysis, power and torque calculations, report generation and operation of other Application features. Vehicle data obtained through OBD are not used as user analytics identifiers. VIN is not intentionally collected as part of Application usage analytics and is not included in analytics events.
2.2 Measurement Data
When performing measurements, the Application may store measurement results, telemetry data, vehicle, engine and transmission parameters, tyre parameters, vehicle weight, ambient temperature, road gradient and user-defined measurement settings. These data may be used to calculate and subsequently analyse power and torque.
2.3 VIN
The VIN may be stored locally in CSV files and diagnostic reports when required by the relevant Application features. If the user voluntarily sends a measurement result to the server for processing, the VIN contained in the corresponding CSV file may be transmitted together with that file. VIN is not used as an identifier for Application usage analytics.
2.4 Location Data
TorqueXpert SD may use GPS/location data from the device to determine road gradient and improve calculation accuracy. GPS coordinates are not intentionally stored in Application usage analytics, are not transmitted to the TorqueXpert SD server for user behaviour analytics and are not used to track the user's movements. Technical location data may temporarily be present in diagnostic logs where necessary for technical operation.
2.5 Bluetooth Data
The Application uses Bluetooth to connect to an OBD adapter. It may obtain the name and Bluetooth address of the connected device solely for detecting, selecting and connecting to the adapter. The Bluetooth address is not used as a permanent user identifier and is not included in Application usage analytics.
2.6 Technical and Diagnostic Logs
The Application maintains local technical logs necessary for error diagnosis and improving operational stability. Depending on the operation, logs may contain OBD/UDS requests and responses, diagnostic data, technical ECU information, VIN, the connected device's Bluetooth address, technical GPS operation data and Application error information. These logs are primarily stored locally unless the user or the Application sends relevant diagnostic information to the server for technical support or service operation.
3. Usage and Analytics Data
The Application may collect information about how users interact with it, including screens viewed, features opened or used, buttons and user actions, measurement and diagnostic operations, OBD adapter connection events, application errors, application and Android versions, device technical information, anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers, event date/time and the success or failure of specific operations.
Analytics data are used to understand usage, identify technical problems, improve stability and performance, improve existing features, develop new features, evaluate usability and protect the Application and its services against abuse or technical problems.
Usage analytics are not intended to identify the user personally. VIN, GPS coordinates, Bluetooth addresses, passwords or other directly identifying vehicle or location information are not intentionally included in analytics events. Analytics events may be associated with a random or pseudonymous Application identifier to understand activity from the same installation.
4. Local Data Storage
TorqueXpert SD may store measurement CSV files, DTC diagnostic reports, technical logs, Application settings, vehicle profile parameters, an anonymous or pseudonymous device identifier and other data required for functionality in the Application's internal storage.
Local files are accessible to the user through viewing, export, transfer or deletion features provided by the Application. When the Application is uninstalled, Android normally deletes its local data. Data included in operating-system backups may be restored according to the device's backup settings.
5. Anonymous or Pseudonymous Device Identifier
For communication with the TorqueXpert SD server and certain technical and analytics functions, the Application may generate a random unique identifier such as device_token. It is not the user's name, email address or password, is not generated from the VIN, does not intentionally contain GPS coordinates and does not require registration for functions that do not require an account. It may associate requests, technical events, analytics events and measurement results with the same installation. The identifier is stored locally and may be transmitted when required for the corresponding functionality. It is not intended to directly identify an individual user.
For registered users, the device identifier may be associated with the relevant account identifier when necessary to provide account-based features, secure the service or support the user's request.
6. Data Transmission to the Server
TorqueXpert SD may use the following server: https://txsd.duckdns.org/. Data may be transmitted for processing, storage, technical operation, analytics and providing Application features.
When a user registers or signs in, the Application may transmit the account information required to create, authenticate and manage the account, such as the email address, account identifier and authentication provider. Account-related data may be transmitted and stored on the TorqueXpert SD server to provide account-based features.
When the user explicitly submits a power measurement to the server, the following may be transmitted: the measurement CSV file, VIN contained in the file, OBD/PID data, CALID and other ECU technical data, device_token, vehicle name/label, engine information, modification information, transmission type, tyre information, vehicle weight, temperature and other parameters entered for the measurement.
The Application does not transmit GPS coordinates to the server for usage analytics. Measurement data are transmitted as a result of a user action or when necessary to provide the requested functionality. The Application does not automatically publish measurement results without the corresponding functionality or user action. Usage and technical analytics data may be transmitted automatically when the Application is running or when a relevant event occurs. Analytics data are not intentionally combined with VIN data to identify individual users.
7. Server-Side Data Processing
Data transmitted to the server may be used for processing and calculating measurement results, generating graphs and reports, storing results, providing measurement-related features, maintaining account functionality, managing Tokens, technical maintenance and improvement, diagnosing technical problems, understanding Application usage, detecting errors, improving stability, preventing abuse and protecting the service. Analytics may be processed in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
Account data may be used to authenticate users, provide account-based features, store or synchronize requested data, provide support and process account-related requests. The retention period for server-side data depends on the purpose and technical requirements of the relevant service. Users may contact the service owner to request deletion of account and server-side data associated with them.
8. Data Sharing with Third Parties
TorqueXpert SD does not sell users' personal data and does not use collected analytics data for the sale of personal information.
The Application may use third-party technical services, libraries, analytics services, hosting providers or infrastructure providers where necessary for operation, analytics, security, diagnostics or service improvement. Those providers may process relevant technical and usage data under their applicable privacy policies. Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In, where selected by the user, may process authentication data under the respective provider's privacy policy. Google Play Services Location may be used to obtain GPS/location data required for Application functionality.
Data may be disclosed only when necessary for a requested feature, hosting, analytics, technical support or infrastructure, required by law, necessary to protect legitimate rights and interests, or necessary to prevent fraud, abuse or security incidents.
9. Data Security
Data transmitted between the Application and the server are protected using an HTTPS connection. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no method of storing or transmitting data over the Internet can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Data
TorqueXpert SD is not specifically intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a parent or legal guardian becomes aware that a child has provided personal data without required consent, they are encouraged to contact the service owner to request consideration of deletion.
11. User Rights
Depending on applicable law, including EU legislation and the GDPR, users may have the right to obtain information about processed data, request access or correction, request deletion, restrict processing, object to certain processing, receive data in a portable format where provided by law and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact the service owner using the details below.
12. Data Deletion
Users may delete local CSV files, diagnostic reports and other files created by the Application directly from the device. Uninstalling normally deletes local data in accordance with Android mechanisms, except for data included in backups. Data previously transmitted to the server are not automatically deleted solely because the Application is uninstalled.
The Application does not currently provide an in-app account deletion control. To request deletion of an account and associated server-side data, contact support@torquexpertsd.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the request and identify the relevant account. Some data may be retained where required by law or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Where analytics data are associated only with an anonymous or pseudonymous identifier, deletion requests are handled according to applicable law and the technical ability to identify the relevant data.
13. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The TorqueXpert SD mobile application does not use cookies. Web services associated with the Application may use technical mechanisms necessary for relevant web features. Analytics technologies may be used to collect Application usage and technical information as described in this Policy.
14. Third-Party Services
The Application may use third-party system and software components necessary for operation, including Google Play Services, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, location services, analytics services, hosting and server infrastructure, networking and communication libraries and other technical services required for Application functionality. Third-party services may process technical, authentication and usage information under their applicable terms and privacy policies.
15. User Accounts and Profiles
The Application currently supports user accounts. Users may register using an email address and password or sign in through Google or Apple, where available. Account information is stored and processed on the TorqueXpert SD server.
Depending on the registration method and features used, we may process the user's email address, account identifier, authentication provider, profile information provided by the user, preferences, saved vehicle profiles, measurement history, diagnostic reports, Token balance and usage, and subscription or service information where applicable.
Account data is used to create and maintain the account, authenticate access, provide account-based features, store or synchronize requested data, manage Tokens, provide technical support, secure the service, prevent abuse and process account-related requests. Google and Apple may process authentication data under their own privacy policies.
Users may request deletion of their account and associated server-side data by contacting support@torquexpertsd.com. The request may be subject to reasonable account verification. The specific data processed and the applicable retention period depend on the account features used and the requirements described in this Policy.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Policy when the Application's functionality, server infrastructure, analytics, account system or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page and the latest update date is shown at the beginning.

18. Acceptance of This Privacy Policy
By using TorqueXpert SD, the user confirms that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If the user does not agree with the terms of data processing, they should discontinue use of the relevant Application features.
